A Traveller's Idea of Incredible India

Travel - a word that never fails to get me excited. The very prospect of travelling to a new place gives me a certain 'thrill', right from packing till boarding the bus/train/flight.This magical word transports a person to a completely different world where discovering and learning are the only things that matter. The idea of carrying a bag pack filled with my favourite books ,a camera to capture precious moments, listening to music on my mobile, getting to see new places, and of course, trying out different kinds of cuisines forms the entire 'package' for an ideal tour. I enjoy travelling to all kinds of holiday destinations, particularly the destinations that have are of historic significance. To name a few, Rajasthan is definitely one place in India filled with history , apart from Delhi and Agra. When making a mention of Rajasthan , one cannot overlook the fort of Jaisalmer , Chittorgarh and the Lake palace at Udaipur, which attract various tourists from all parts of the world till date.

If India offers rich history, it also offers nature at its best. Hill stations such as Matheran , Manali and Mussoorie highlight nature's bounty in India. These are places where one can completely switch off , unwind, distance themselves from society and reflect upon their thoughts beside a stream , on the peak of a foggy hill or at a waterfall.

Spirituality and religion are two key aspects that seem to go hand-in-hand especially in India. A holiday in India is incomplete without a visit to places such as Varanasi , Rameshwaram , Dwaraka , Madurai Meenakshi temple, Kanyakumari ,and many more. Every destination has it's own beauty. If the tranquility of the Ganges in Varanasi provides solace to a devotee, the floating stones of Lord Rama's bridge at the Hanuman temple re-affirm one's faith in the story of Lord Rama.

India is also a realm of Architectural delight. It has always been famous for it's varied styles of architecture, considering the fact that one of it's architectural monuments is one of the seven wonders of the world.  Agra, Mahabalipuram , Hampi , Ajanta caves ,the caves of Ellora, The Sun Temple at Konark to name a few still see an influx of tourists from all over the world.
