Sound of Music

Benjamin Disraeli said -'Were it not for music, we might in these days say, the Beautiful is dead.' And how true.  A question that always comes to my mind is- How would life without music be? It seems impossible. Music isn't just a product of a few instruments , or a singer straining his vocal chords , it is present, in the buzzing of bees, the waves of the sea, the laughter of a child, in the sound of footsteps, and in every particle of the universe . It is one of God's greatest gift to mankind. I truly enjoy most genres of music. However the ones I enjoy the most are Classical music , Old Hindi  and Tamil classics , a few Bollywood songs ( especially A.R Rahmans!) and a few others too. 


If one enjoys Lata Mangeshkar's old classics, this one is a must hear. Soulful , Soothing to the ears and wonderful lyrics. No wonder 'Old is Gold'

One cannot forget about India's 'Mozart' , the one and only A R Rahman when Indian Film  Music is discussed. My all time ARR favourite is a song from his debut movie 'Roja'-

Music is a language in itself , it has no boundaries, and it's power is extraordinary. Life is truly incomplete without it!
